  • Acupuncture - a medical practice originating in China. It employs small needles to influence the energy of an organism. It is believed that when the body is sick, it is caused by an imbalance in energy or a block in the flow of energy. Acupuncture can restore the balance of energy and remove the blockage, and has also been shown to stimulate the body's production of endorphins and other neurotransmitters. This energy is referred to as Qi. 
  • Tai Chi - helps one achieve harmony with the universe through its balance, fluid movements, and deep rhythmical breathing. It concentrates on circulating vital energy or Qi. 
  • Moxibustion - a therapy which involves the burning of specific herbs. The Moxa stick is used to promote healing.
